Cement Ukulele by Washington

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: FibiFunk

This is my first tab but I don't think it's 100% right but it sounds quite accurate,
super easy to play and lots of fun to play around with.

A song written by the wonderful Miss Megan Washington (so all rights and admiration are
hers), I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I do.

Please note the quickish chord changes between G and Em on the first line of the second
and E - D - F#m on the last line of the song. Listen to the track if you like to hear
correct timing but it's simple enough to work out.

No Capo

Please rate lovely people.

Peace

Intro:
Em
                                                            G
So what I said is what I said and what you said is what you meant.
Em
And when you left my house in the morning
G
You wrote your message on the cement.
Am C
You put the letters and the numbers under people's feet.
Am C D
You took all of the dealings and feelings and wrote them on the street.

G Em
And everybody, everybody, everybody knows.
G Em
And when I went outside and I saw it I froze.
Am C
You put my secret and your secret under people's feet.
Am C D
Ah, you remembered what I said, and you wrote it on the fucking concrete.

Em

                                               G - Em
So what we do is what we do for me and you not everyone.
                                       G
But outside in the night you were busy writing down what we had done.
Am C D
You seemed alright last night, but now I know that I was wrong.

G Em
And everybody, everybody, everybody knows.
G Em
And when I went outside and I saw it I froze.
Am C
You put my secret and your secret under people's feet.
Am C D
Ah, you remembered what I said, and you wrote it on the fucking concrete.

D Am

Em G Em
And I guess you know how people talk,
              G Am
But it's only words and it's only chalk.
              C D
And I'll feel better maybe when we get some weather.

[Key Change]

D F#m A D

A F#m
And everybody, everybody, everybody knows.
A F#m
And when I went outside and I saw it I froze.
D E
You put my secret and your secret under people's feet.
D E A
Ah, you remembered what I said, and you wrote it on the street - No no no no.
           F#m
I guess you know.

E
But it's only words, and it's only talk,
                                 F#m
Oh it's only words and it's only chalk.
D E - D - F#m
I guess you know how people talk.
